Our final conference games of the season (and final home games) were against Oberlin. These games were very important because they would play into our fate of making it into the NCAC tournament. The games were set to be played on Saturday, but due to bad weather they were pushed to Sunday.
Playing on Sunday, we won both games. This allowed our team to solidify second place in the conference. This means we earned our way into the NCAC tournament!!
Since these were the final home games, this was also our time to honor the Seniors! Marissa, Gwen, Lauren, and Rachel have put in four years of hard work into our program. They have also contributed to this team to help us have the winning-est season in Wooster softball history.
Before the game all of the underclassmen met at the field and decorated the dugout and field to help honor them. We also put pictures of them all around and had gifts for them. This was a great way to help honor them, but the best was getting the W's on the day and making our way into the tournament conference and softball history.
