The first game against St. Olaf moved quickly and before we knew it, it was the eighth inning and no one had scored. Wooster was the away team and we put a runner at second to start the inning. With some good at-bats, we scored one run and held St. Olaf. While this game seemed very close, I felt very confident throughout it. The team was hitting the ball well, but some of the hits just weren't falling. Luckily everything worked out and we pulled out the win.
The second game against Amherst was a little rough. It was obvious that they were a good team and very aggressive at the plate during the first inning. We were able to hold them throughout the first innings and we evened scored a run. Then during the sixth inning, Amherst started hitting gaps and scoring more runs. This wasn't our best showing at the plate, but the team never gave up. An 8-1 loss isn't something we want to accept, but it will help to motivate us through the rest of the trip. Our goal is to take the last four games before we fly back to Ohio.
