Lip Sync

Lip Sync went well and was absolutely hilarious! Basically it goes like this:

The coaches are the judges and the team is split into four different groups. Each group then chooses parts of various songs that they want to put together and create a dance to. After some preparation and planning, we all get together and put on a show! It is always hilarious to watch your teammates pretend to sing as they dance along to songs.

This year was we all waited until the day of lip sync to put everything together, but it turned out really well. Almost every genre of music was represented by the four groups. My group chose Disney songs and put them together. To give you a picture of how it went:

We started with "Hi Ho" from the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and used this to gather in front of the group and then went into the song "Just Around the River Bend" from Pocahontas. At this point Gwen was in the pool on the raft using an oar to move herself around. My group also used songs from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and other Disney movies.

After all of the groups went, the coaches deliberated and announced the winners. My group came in second. There are always fun prizes to go along with Lip Sync. The winners get t-shirts, while usually the group in fourth place tend to find bananas, cans of soup, and ear plugs in their bags. Lip sync was so much fun. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with next year!
