Day Off One

After earning a 2-2 record, the first day off was pretty relaxed. There is a lift that we all must complete with bands, but other than that the day is pretty much ours to do as we please. Since the team is divided into two separate houses, the activities can vary, but I am sure that this day was mostly spent hanging outside by the pool and working on our tans.

Since it is so hot outside we have to make sure to stay hydrated as well as not spend too much time in the sun. So, not only did we lay outside and swim in the pool, but we hung out inside as well. Our house had four bikes in the garage and a few of us went on a ride around the allotment. We also found a dart board in the entertainment center and started playing nightly games of darts.

The night was pretty relaxed as well. The other house cooked dinner for everyone and we all spent some quality team time together. The other house is fascinated with catching "geckos," which are really the lizards, and even created a habitat and kept one for the day. It was fun to hang out together for the evening. Once we got back to our house, we watched a movie that we rented (scary movies seem to be the popular choice!) and went to bed. Since we get up so early for our games (usually around 6), bedtime tends to fall before 10. This may not sound totally appealing, but I look forward to it now. Getting in a quality 8 hours of sleep is something that is usually hard to come by, especially when we are in season during school.
