The rain continues.. Practice has been getting moved quite a bit lately and the tarp has made more appearances than most of us would like, but it nice to still be playing outside and on the dirt. It even started raining while we were practicing today and stopped after 15 minutes. Everyone is getting really excited for our play day this Saturday! Hopefully it will be warm and the rain holds off. As we are in the fourth week of classes time is definitely hard to come by. Lots of exams this week. Guess we will see how it goes! Sometimes the weekend doesn't come soon enough.

WELL it has certainly been a wet and rainy week here at Woo!! Three practice cancelled due to mother nature in one week. Crazy. But the good thing is everyone was extremely pumped to put the tarp on the field yesterday... not. Can't say I missed that smelly old thing very much over the off season. But we do have one of the best fields in the Conference so it does pay off and us upperclassmen are very well trained after all the rain we had last spring. Even though I am not looking forward to pulling the tarp tomorrow, I can tell you something I am looking forward too, FAMILY WEEKEND!! That's right you actually look forward to seeing your parents and siblings once you're in college, plus it doesn't hurt that they usually buy you something from the bookstore or if your lucky bring cookies. Not to mention the patio cookout and football game under the lights are pretty fun!!

September 18th
Yesterday morning most of the team woke up bright and early to run the Apple Butter 5k in Orrville. Everyone that ran did a great job and we got shirts. The course was pretty hilly everyone finished the race alive and it actually ended up being pretty fun even for those of us (like me) who aren't exactly long distance runners. Getting breakfast together afterward definitely helped :)

Hi All
This week marked the start of the third week of classes, which means that the reality that summer is actually over is finally starting to sink in and the workload for most of us is becoming real. But, in the middle of all the craziness of classes and reuniting with friends, THE WOOSTER SOFTBALL SEASON 2011-2012 has officially started. Personally I could not be more pumped!!! We’ve only had two official practices so far and, aside from a few strawberries and sore legs, things have been running very smoothly and more efficient than ever. We did a little inter-squad scrimmage today and I must say that people really came to play this year. It has also been awesome to met and work with Coach Lance and Coach Swinehart, two new additions to the Scots, their perspective and knowledge has been excellent and the team already benefited from their assistance. . Anyways I have to work on my Mastering Physics homework blahhhh….. But, stay tuned to hear more about your lovely Lady Scots Softball Team!!!! Till next time.

Hi,
I am Danielle. I am a Sophomore at the College of Wooster with a biology major. I am also a member of the softball team where I catch and play first base. Finding the balance between your studies and playing sports in college can sometimes be a struggle, but it is so much fun and totally worth it! I can't wait for the 2012 season!
